Christian Onselaere

Christian Onselaere
CEO

Christian heads ADB SAFEGATE, a world leader for advanced solutions for aircraft guidance on the ground. With more than 30 years of international experience in the telecommunication and airport industries, he has held leadership positions in general management, sales and marketing, project management and R&D.

Prior to assuming his role at ADB SAFEGATE, Christian was Head of ADB, an aircraft guidance solutions provider, with over 500 employees and annual sales revenue of 190 million Euro. In 2005, Christian served as the Executive Vice-President of Siemens in Thailand and before that, as the Managing Director of Siemens Réseaux Informatique et Telecommunications in France. He was also responsible for a team that set up and managed Siemens’ Information and Communication Networks (ICN) R&D Centre for Communication Software in Bangalore, India, in 1994. He began his career in 1985 as a Software Development Engineer with Siemens in Belgium. Over the years, Christian worked in different divisions at Siemens across locations including Belgium, Germany, Taiwan, India, France and Thailand.

Christian holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Electronics Engineering from the University of Gent in Belgium.

 

Sébastien Dreyer

CFO

Sébastien Dreyer is the CFO at ADB SAFEGATE. Prior to this, he held the position of Financial Officer of the ADB GROUP since late 2013. He oversaw the company’s financial planning, management and reporting activities as well as IT and Legal.

With two decades of relevant experience across multiple sectors, Sébastien has held management and leadership roles in large multinational corporations across services, industrial services and packaging segments. After an early stint at Société Générale, he went on to work as the Group Treasurer at FM Logistic and Geodis, in the logistics sector, and at Havas, a global advertising and communications firm.

Prior to relocating to Belgium, he was based in Paris, France where he was UK CFO and Group Treasury and Tax Director, Global Closure Systems, for more than six years.

Sébastien is an Alumnus of HEC Business School where his primary specialization was in Finance.

 

Per-Olof Hammarlund

Per-Olof Hammarlund
Vice President of Sales & Marketing

PO is Vice President of Sales & Marketing at ADB SAFEGATE. Prior to this, was the CEO of Safegate Group (since 1999), and has been an international businessman for more than 35 years.

He has held several managerial positions in multinational companies on three different continents. PO has more than 25 years of experience as managing director, having worked across various industries such as building material, machine works shop, mineral and telecom.

PO’s holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has studied- Finance and Administration at Sweden’s Lund University. PO’s passion is doing business, boosting company growth and helping employees to flourish. PO enjoys watching football and takes inspiration from the role of the coach as it demonstrates how to build a team.

 

Steve Rutland

Steve Rutland
COO

Steve is Chief Operating Officer at ADB SAFEGATE. He began his career in the airfield industry in 1998, working as a project manager with the Safegate Group. Prior to that, Steve worked in the mining industry in Australia at diverse locations, primarily in project and asset management. During his time at Safegate, Steve held a number of positions, including Managing Director in the UAE, General Manager in Sweden and Managing Director in Australia. Throughout his time at Safegate, Steve has always had a strong focus on delivering projects and the project life cycle, a trait that continues even today.

Steve’s educational qualifications are a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Engineering (Project Management) from Deakin University in Melbourne.

Steve’s guiding belief is that the workplace should be a positive and rewarding environment, as it is the key to an organization’s success. When not at work, Steve likes to “get away from it all”!

 

 

 

Joe Pokoj
Vice President Americas

Joe is Vice President, Americas at ADB SAFEGATE. An airfield lighting industry veteran with decades of experience, Joe is a proven executive in both engineering and sales functions. Previously, he has held multiple positions at ADB, starting as an electrical engineer and quickly moving to Project Engineering Manager where he was responsible for project management of control systems for the North American market. In 1999, he became the Director of Sales and Marketing, which included responsibility for airfield lighting sales in North America and international U.S. military as well as business development, marketing and technical services. Joe’s role expanded in 2010 when he became Director of Sales and Marketing for all of the Americas.

He has an Electrical Engineering Degree from DeVry Institute of Technology and an MBA from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio.

 

Laurent Peeters

Laurent Peeters
Vice President of HR

Laurent Peeters is the Vice President of HR. He partners with senior leadership, develops and leads the HR & People strategy and the organizational development programs for the new group to support and facilitate the merger and integration and assure a sustainable growth.

Laurent brings human resource and business partner experiences acquired from several international organizations in various industries including media/press, consulting, engineering, building solutions and materials. Prior to ADB SAFEGATE, Laurent served as Head of Human Resources & OD for Consolis group (Construction & Engineering) in a post-merger context and as HR Director for Western Europe within the Knauf group (building materials).

Holding a Master’s Degree in Political Science from the Free University of Brussels (ULB), Laurent graduated in HR & Organizational Management (ISC/HEC). He also holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Management from the Solvay Business School, Brussels.
