CRT - Constant Current Regulator, Thyristor, L-828 / L-829

The CRT air-cooled thyristor regulator supplies three or five precision output currents to power series lighting circuits on airport runways and taxiways. The solid-state operation with no relays eliminates mechanical failures. Output lighting protection is included; input lighting protection is available as an option. L-828 CRT regulators can be upgraded in the field to L-829 CCRs with an optional integrated ACE unit that can provide state-of-the-art remote control and L-829 monitoring capability. CRT regulators can be stacked two high to minimize the floor space required in a vault.
