F1 AWOS, FAA Certified
The F1 Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) from DBT Transportation Services LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ADB SAFEGATE, is a type-certified system that meets the current FAA Advisory Circular 150/5220-16 requirements for non-federal airports. The F1 AWOS incorporates state-of-the-art sensors with aviation weather display software, and is supported with expert service.
The F1 AWOS system is designed to grow with your airport. All systems are scalable. With an open system, an ADB SAFEGATE Service F1 AWOS system can be customized to incorporate sensors that detect thunderstorms as well as other problematic weather phenomena, such as freezing rain.
• AWOS A reports altimeter only
• AWOS I reports wind data (speed, direction, gusts); temperature; dew point; altimeter; and density altitude
• AWOS II reports AWOS I plus visibility
• AWOS III reports AWOS II plus precipitation accumulation and cloud height
• AWOS III P reports AWOS II plus present weather
• AWOS III P/T reports AWOS III P plus thunderstorm/lightning
• AWOS IV Z reports AWOS III P/T plus present weather and thunderstorm/lightning
